Website privacy notice
1. Controller
The controller is Christian Kröhn, abgepixelt, Martin-Luther-Straße 2, 04610 Meuselwitz OT Wintersdorf, Germany. For privacy enquiries, email darkline.support@abgepixelt.de.
2. Providing the website
When you visit, your browser sends connection data needed to provide the service to the hosting provider. This includes your IP address, access time, requested URL, browser and operating system information and, where applicable, the referring page. This data is used to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure operation of the service.
The planned provider for the public website is ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The hosting provider may act as a data processor. See the provider’s privacy information.
Still to be checked against the actual hosting setup: the scope and retention periods of access logs, error logs and backups, and the data processing agreement. No unverified fixed deletion period is promised.
A private preview under chatgpt.site is provided through the Sites platform. Its access and hosting functions are also subject to the platform’s privacy policy. The ALL-INKL description above applies to the planned public release.
3. Feedback form and email contact
The feedback form initially processes the selected report type, title, description and optional game version and device information in your browser’s memory. The website does not send reports automatically or store form contents permanently. “Prepare email” passes your entries to your email app. Your message only reaches us when you then send it. The copy function accesses your clipboard only when you explicitly click it.
Your email provides us with your message, sender address and any attachments you choose to include. We use these to respond to your enquiry, investigate bugs and improve Darkline. Optional device details help us identify the issue; they are not required to make a report. Please do not send sensitive or unnecessary personal data.
Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where an enquiry concerns a contract, potentially Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. According to the project information, email accounts are hosted by ALL-INKL.COM. Access must be limited to the people handling the enquiry. Messages should be deleted once the matter is resolved and their purpose no longer applies, unless a retention obligation or necessary legal claim requires otherwise. Personal details should be removed from bug and idea collections when no longer needed. These deletion procedures must be established before public operation.
4. Cookies, local storage and external content
The website itself uses no analytics or advertising services, embedded videos, external font servers or social media plugins. Images and fonts load from the same website. External links are opened only when you click them. The locally saved acknowledgement of the privacy notice is explained in the section below.
5. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you live or where the controller is based.
This website does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling. Use of the feedback form and provision of its information are voluntary.
6. Privacy in the game
This notice covers the homepage. The separate privacy policy for the Android game and its store release is available on the dedicated game privacy page and in the Darkline main menu under “Privacy policy”.
Cookies & local storage
The static website itself sets no cookies. The cookie and privacy notice therefore does not ask for consent to marketing or analytics purposes that do not exist.
Acknowledging the notice
Only after you click “Got it” is the time of your acknowledgement saved in your browser’s Local Storage under darkline-privacy-notice-v1. This entry contains no user identifier and is not sent to us. Its sole purpose is to hide the notice you dismissed for 180 days. After that, the acknowledgement is treated as expired on your next visit and the notice is shown again. The technical entry may remain in your browser until you acknowledge it again or delete it.
This storage serves the notice preference you explicitly selected (section 25(2), no. 2 TDDDG). Where personal data is involved, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can reset the entry at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer or delete it in your browser settings. The website remains usable when storage is blocked; the notice may appear again.
The spoiler section starts closed on each new page load. Opening it and entering information in the form do not create permanent storage. The language is determined by the page URL and needs no additional cookie or storage entry. Technical functions of a private platform access layer are separate.
